The Razor Kick Scooter

The Razor kick scooter is the modern parallel of the kind of scooter that has been around for 50 years or more. In fact, children have probably been attaching boards to wheels ever since scrap wheels became available. As with those classic scooters, the Razor kick scooter is driven forward by foot power. That is, you place one foot on the board and push forward, or in other words kick back on the ground with the other.

This way of propulsion makes the Razor kick scooter an idyllic mode of transport, training and fun for children of all ages. In fact, Razor do not advocate a Razor kick scooter for the under fives unless supervised and say in their manual:

“Children under age eight (8) should ride with adult supervision at all times. All children and preteens should ride with adult guidance at all times”.

This seems somewhat harsh to me and is most likely an instance of over-vigilance because of the litigious culture we live in. Just try suggesting to a twelve-year that you have to exercise guidance on all of his or her trips!

Having said that the Razor kick scooter comes in approximately seven different guises. There is the Kiddie Kick scooter for the under fives. It is constructed of tough plastic and has a third wheel for added stability.

Then there is the ‘A’ series of Razor kick scooter: the A, A2, A3 and AW. These models are approximately equal to a child’s growth in size, ability and experience, although the highest recommended weight for all three models of Razor kick scooter is 65 kilos or 143 lbs.

The Razor kick scooter Pro is a leap up in know-how and so has more capabilities. It can be used for extreme sport and will bear a rider weighing up to 100 kilos or 220 lbs.

Last, but not least, is the Cruiser Razor kick scooter. It will bear 79 kilos (175 lbs of weight and has larger wheels as it is designed for unhurried cruising about. The larger wheels mean that you won’t feel any uneven terrain beneath you while you are on this Razor kick scooter.

All of these Razor kick scooters share similar characteristics. All of these models of the Razor kick scooter are of very robust assembly and all but the Razor Kiddie Kick scooter are manufactured of high-grade aluminium and are built to last.

These Razor kick scooters possess extendable steering rods, which means that they can be pulled up to expand with your child or can be shared by children of diverse sizes. They also share a strong braking system which is operated on the rear wheel, rendering them ultra-safe for use in the vicinity of pedestrians.

A Razor kick scooter starts at about $45 and so is an inexpensive method for you to ensure that that your child gets regular exercise, gets out from behind his computer, gets some fresh air and sunlight and learns about civility while having fun being mobile. Besides all these benefits, a Razor kick scooter will give your child tender reminiscences to look back on for the rest of his or her being.

Buying Golf Equipment

Buying golf equipment can be like throwing your money into the wind, but armed with some fore-knowledge you can save yourself some time and money when you’re selecting golf clubs for yourself. As with most things in life, you can either spend a lot of money in one go or you can spend a little several times, until you get what you really need.

If you are just beginning and are not completely sure that you want to commit yourself to the addictive game of golf, you should either rent golf clubs at the clubhouse on the golf course, or buy a starter set of golf clubs.

Purchasing a set of beginner’s golf clubs allows you to get used to them; enabling you to concentrate on your swing instead of wondering how this set of miss-matched golf clubs you just rented is going to work out.

After you become better acquainted with the game of golf, you should consider investing in a better set of clubs more suited to you.

In general, a set of clubs includes a driver, one or two fairway woods, numbers 4-9 irons, a wedge or two and a putter.

Once become more experienced and start considering buying new clubs, you may want to think about buying your driver separately. Some players need a driver to give them more accuracy, some want more distance.

There are various sorts of golf ball available and the golf ball box will usually have a chart on the back to help you select the right golf ball for your needs. As you learn more about the game and get better at playing it, you should experiment with different balls which could help improve your accuracy and/or your distance.

Having the right golf equipment is an important aspect of the game, so take care and buy wisely!

Golfing for Beginners: Part I

The sport of golf has really boomed in public awareness over the last 45 years. It has produced fantastic world-champions such as Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman and Tiger Woods and world-renowned courses like St. Andrews, Sunningdale, Pinehurst ans Augusta.

Why should playing golf have taken off like that? I think it has to be because by playing golf you are being active outdoors with friends or colleagues competing in a leisurely game that you can never perfect.

Your scorecard shows your progress, or lack of it, and this can spur you on to want to play again.

Here follows an elementary lesson for those who know nothing about golf.

Golf is played on an eighteen-hole course. Each hole has its own “par” (value), which is the combined number of tee shots (drives), fairway shots, chips (short hits as you approach the green), and putts (on the green) you should need to take.

The par number is based on the length and difficulty of the hole. Pars range from 3 to 6. If you get the ball in the hole in five shots on a par five hole, you “made par.” If it took you six shots, its called a bogie, if you made it in four, its a birdie.

There are usually “hazards” of some sort or other on all the holes. Bodies of water, sand traps, and trees are strategically placed to make reaching the hole more challenging. Beginner golfers should seek to find courses to play that are easier to play with fewer hazards.

Each player keeps his or her own score, marking the total number of shots for each hole. At the end, each person adds up their scores – the one with the lowest number is the winner.

It is important for beginner golfers to not take themselves too seriously. It takes a long time to get good at this game; even though the professionals make it look so easy.

A good tip is to get the basics right from the start by taking a few lessons from the course ‘pro’, because then you will learn the correct posture and swing.

Model RC Sports Cars

Do your interests in model remote control cars lie in high speed, rapid acceleration and beauty of form? If this is exactly what you are searching for in a model car, then a model sports car is almost certainly what you are searching for. Real size sports cars are a $4.5 billion industry with about 55,000 units being sold every year.

Sports cars and their model counterparts are manufactured as high performance machines, which means that they can be driven in ways that ordinary production line cars can not. For instance, in the case of a real sports car, it frequently takes no more than five seconds to go from 0 to 100 mph. Similarly in a model high performance gas replica, it often takes no more than two seconds to reach 60 mph from a standing start.

Because it is more tricky to maneuver a speeding vehicle, sports cars and model sports cars are especially designed to handle best at high speeds. In deed, the word “sporty” was coined to refer to a sleek but robust design that exudes power. It was later personified to refer to the person behind the wheel or in the modelling world, the person at the remote controls.

The following is a basic glossary of sports car terminology and a basic listing of sports car manufacturers (many of which have their counterpart vehicles in the world of model gas remote control vehicles).

- FF ? front engine, front wheel drive. The FF layout has a medium capability for high speed handling and is seen in some models such as the Fiat Coup?, and the Lotus Elan M100.

- FR – front engine, rear wheel drive Considered the ?classic? sports car layout, the engine drives the rear wheels but keeps the weight off the back. The FR is good at drifting corners while still maintaining control. Mercedes-Benz is recognized for using this design for its models.

- RR – rear engine, rear wheel drive With the engine at the back driving the rear wheels, weight placement on a RR layout provides outstanding traction for a car. However, without auxiliary driving aids like stability control, handling becomes difficult. These days, the only manufacturer who keeps the RR layout for its cars is Porche.

AWD – all wheel drive An AWD design provides optimum handling, making it perfect for those who are just starting to race sports cars. Audi began the widespread use of this system with the Quattro. Japanese manufacturers like Mitsubishi employed this layout to enhance handling, making it an excellent rally car.

Because of more stringent regulations in the United States, sports car manufacturers are more prevalent in Europe than in America. Nonetheless, American brands are in equal competition with their European and Asian counterparts. Some recognized manufacturers and models are:

Alfa Romeo; Alpine; Aston Martin; Austin-Healey; BMW; Bugatti; Caterham; Davrian; De Lorean; Ferrari; Fisker; Jaguar; Koenigsegg; Lamborghini; Lotus; McLaren; Maserati; MG; Morgan; Panoz; Porsche; Triumph; TVR; Vector.

If this article has whetted your appetite for a sports car, go out and buy one now, if you are wealthy. If not, why not do the next best thing and buy yourself a 1:8 or even a 1:5 petrol-powered, remote-controlled sports car?

Retirement Gifts For Golfers

There is a commonly-held belief that golf is the pastime and sport of entrepreneurs and businessmen. It also has the reputation of being exclusive and elite and not being available to ordinary blue collared workers. However, this is not really true, since modern technology and globalization have brought this so-called elite sport into the realm of normal people.

This is because you don’t need to get hold of expensive equipment to join in. Unlike big game fishing and polo which need a lot of resources – a boat and a horse respectively – golfers just require a set of golf clubs, which are reasonably affordable these days. Bearing this in mind, retirement gifts for golfers and aspiring golfers are more easily thought of.

Personalized retirement gifts to personalize golfing equipment is quite easy. You could easily make personalized gifts by embroidering such items as golf club pouches or caddy covers. These can be knitted, if you are a knitter or by any similar craft which may use other materials.

Another good idea is to think about the apparel fashion of golfing which means to look at the clothing worn by golfers. You may even be able to establish a new fashion in golfing apparel by using your imagination to create an interesting design.

Normal gifts. The most common and usual method of getting a retirement gift for golfers is to go over to the nearest sports shop and get your retiree some of the things sold there. It may sound a little impersonal to just get the retiree a commercially made gift but then this may actually prove really useful if the retiree is still a novice or beginner golfer. Maybe you might want to get him a golf club set as this is the basic requirement to be able to play golf.

Furthermore, you may find some other accessories that your retiree golfer may still need but then perhaps you could also contribute your imagination on what things can be made to enhance the golfing equipment he may already have.

Commercially made golfing equipment is also a good idea, if you want to make your retiree feel good by giving him a famous set of clubs, making him look like a pro.

Gags and Jokes The amusing part of deciding to give a joke present instead is the humour these items can create. It also adds to the brighter aspect of the golf-playing retiree’s party and his friends will be able to take part in with smiles, laughs and jokey comments too.

The joke present should be bought very carefully as the joke gift may represent a sensitive matter for the retiree, especially if he is still a beginner. Gag gift for golfers may be misunderstood and hinder their golfing progress if they are upset by the idea emphasized by the joke gift you have given to them.

However, for veteran players who already know the game well, the gift of a good gag gift on their retirement day would be quite amusing because they would see golfing not only as a way to relieve stress but to actually just have some fun as well.

You should see retirement gifts for golfers as just a easy way to make your golfing friend enjoy life after his career is over.

Good luck if you are going to or planning a Golfer’s Retirement Party, however if you want to get a better understanding of retirement, please visit our web site Retirement Planning. Get a totally unique version of this article from our article submission service

Getting the Most from Golfing Lessons

It is never easy asking for help, but in golf, it is practically a necessity. Unfortunately, we often ask our friends and partners, whereas in fact, we should be taking a lesson or two with a professional, usually called the Club Pro.

We may think that a Pro would criticize too harshly, but they are honest, positive and usually very helpful.

Golf lessons at the local golf course aren’t as expensive as you probably think and they are worth it too, because your game will get better more rapidly and cause you less frustration, making the game much more fun for you.

It is of utmost importance to be absolutely honest about your game. The Pro will ask you what you want to learn: driving, chipping, putting or whatever you feel you need help with.

Listen to the Pro golfer very carefully and follow the Pro’s instructions. You may have doubts if the Pro changes your stance, your grip or your swing, but honestly, the Pro does know what is best.

Don’t hesitate to ask the Pro golfer any questions. Don’t worry about whether your question or concern may sound stupid – they’ve heard it all before and will not make you feel like an idiot for asking. If you don’t get it, tell him/her that you do not get it. You should never walk away from a lesson with unanswered questions.

For example, a course of lessons might be to concentrate on one thing during a lesson, or on several things. You might begin with a lesson on driving; get the grip, the stance, the swing and the follow-through right in one lesson and then practice it ‘for real’ for a few weeks until you feel that you’ve got it more or less right. Next time, you might decide you need help with your short game, or putting.

You’ve bought the set of golf clubs and it isn’t cheap, is it? So, it doesn’t make sense not to learn how to use it to it’s best advantage thereby improving your game and abilities, does it?

Magazines About Scooters And Motorcycles

I have read tons of reviews about scooters and motorbikes, because I am a subscriber to a scooter and motorcycle enthusiasts’ magazine that carries articles about all the different sorts of scooters and motorcycles on the market. It also recommends the best one to buy depending on whether you are a first time owner or a two-wheeler old hand. The magazine is fantastic, and it helps me understand what other scooter owners feel about the different models and brands of scooters.

I have to say that people’s views vary quite widely on every subject, which is why it’s probably always better to do your own studying and get what best suits you, rather than getting what other people say will suit you, when they do not even know you. Having said that, many first time buyers do not actually know what they are looking for, and it is really these people that these reports are written for.

However, these reviews are not meant to be taken too literally, rather they are intended as a guideline so that potential greenhorn buyers have to ruminate about the aspects of buying a scooter or motorbike. It also gives experts a run down of the salient facts. Then you need to make up your own mind whether you care, for example, whether the scooter’s seat is made of leather or fabric.

All in all, I like this magazine because it takes into account people from all walks of life, and its writers and editor understand that even if you are interested in purchasing a scooter, you may not have enough money or you might be reading just out of interest in scooters or motorcycles.

We all know that money is difficult to come by these days, and consumers are becoming more and more well-informed about the goods they want, which is a good thing in my opinion. After all, there are other merchants who just desire to get the most money they can for their products and mark up their scooter prices to inflated amounts in the hope that they will get a few stupid customers that did not do their research.

And I am sure that they probably do get a few patrons like that, because they do stay in business somehow and I regularly hear awfulness stories about people who have paid far too much for their scooter or motorbike.

When you ask them why they did not take the trouble to read the reviews in a magazine, they usually say that they did not know about the magazines, or even worse, that they did not have enough time. Therefore it seems that they had enough time to work like a dog for the money, but then not enough time to read a short magazine review? I doubt it very much. With a bit of luck, consumers will continue becoming more and more careful about their purchases.

It is such a pity, so, If you happen to be a new scooter fan, or you know someone who is, please make sure you read the scooter and motorbike reviews before concluding a purchase. It can literally save you hundreds or even thousands of your hard earned dollars.

Remote Controlled Models – The Helicopter

If you like remote controlled models and have plenty of space, then you might want to think about buying one of the new big remote control helicopters that have recently been introduced by several makes. These helicopters, which can occasionally be as large as ten feet long, rival real helicopters in dexterity. They are expensive and can set you back three thousand dollars or more.

As with many trends, some people just have to have one of their own. So, the next time you are walking in the countryside and you see a helicopter flying in the region, look again closely. At first you will probably think that it is a real helicopter that is simply further away then you first thought. But look again and you will almost certainly see someone controlling the helicopter with a gigantic remote control unit.

If you see one of these remote controlled helicopters in flight, deem yourself very fortunate. Because it is so expensive to own one of these beautiful models, they are also still pretty rare. However, because I am an ardent collector myself, I have considered buying one of these big remote control helicopters, and I even put a bid on one in Ebay once, but in the end I did not get it and instead decided to wait until the price comes down a bit more.

Just as with any new, trendy item, big remote control helicopters are the latest fad, but in a few years, I am sure there will be a better supply and the price will drop. Then I will be ready and willing to buy. But until then, I have a very bighearted and rich friend who owns one, and I will rehearse flying his. I have already taken it out once – it is so much more powerful than the typical, small remote control helicopters that you are most likely used to. When you first turn it on, the big remote control helicopter?s blades spin with such ferociousness, that you may worry that you are going to damage something. and then, when it lifts off the ground, you will feel a huge sense of accomplishment, knowing that you are the one who is controlling it.

And if you are able to make a successful, smooth landing as well, then you can truly consider yourself a helicopter pilot, because even those very experienced with small remote control helicopters will be impressed to see someone land a big remote control helicopter, because it really is totally different. So if you happen to be fortunate, rich, or just determined enough to purchase one of your own, enjoy your time with your giant helicopter.

I assure you that it will be one of the most exciting experiences of your life. For me, the entire process was unreal, and when it was all over, I had to phone everyone I knew and tell them how I had flown a 10 foot helicopter and landed it smoothly. I bet that?s how pilots feel the first time they fly a real aircraft.

The Advantages Of Owning A Razor Scooter

The Razor scooter is a fantastic suggestion for everybody wanting to stay healthy. These days loads of people are office-bound and we all appear to have a reduced amount of time for simply going out for a stroll, which is the age-old therapy for gaining a few pounds. The Razor scooter can assist you here.

How frequently have you thought, ‘I haven’t got time to walk’ or ‘I can’t be bothered to walk’ and then have jumped in the automobile instead? But what if you had a Razor scooter handy? You could simply scooter down to the store or the park. You could take the dog for more walks and at a quicker speed too, something your dog will surely be thankful for.

The Razor A series or its larger siblings, the Razor Pro or Razor Cruiser, are not expensive, costing between $40 and $60, cheaper still at Amazon or eBay, yet they will quickly save you hundreds of dollars on fuel. After all, starting a vehicle is usually the most expensive part of a short journey.

The Razor scooter is also very versatile. Weighing in at approximately six pounds, anybody could carry it without difficulty up or down a couple of stairs or lift it in or out of the trunk of a car. But not only that, it folds up too, so that the whole scooter is only a couple of feet long by six inches high by six inches wide. It will without difficulty fit in a passage sideboard or the boot of a car.

Your Razor scooter could be used in many ways to save you money and keep you trimmer. For instance, if you want a loaf of bread, you could hop on your scooter. You could take you dog to the park. You could scooter with your kids ‘in a pack’. You could put a Razor scooter in the trunk of your car and scooter the last half a mile into college. And every time you get on that scooter, you are burning not petroleum but flab!

Think of it that way. You are saving energy and money and burning your surplus calories at the same time. You are also exercising your legs and raising your metabolism and heart rate too. That is everything the bank manager and the doctor suggested all rolled into one . And you will be in first-class company too.

Do you know who else’s children ride Razor scooters? Well, there’s Al Pacino’s twins for a start. Now, Al Pacino is not short of a few dollars, I’m sure, so you can be assured that he’s going to be looking for the finest for his kids, isn’t he? And Lisa Kudrow and her son. And Liv and Cal, progeny of Julianne Moore and Bart Freundlich. You would be forgiven for saying, ‘Aw well, they got theirs for free!’ and that may be true, but at approximately $40 who cares?

The benefits in saved motor fuel and increased exercise make the Razor scooter a must-have necessity in my opinion. So, take another look at the Razor scooter and keep in mind that someone’s birthday is coming up in a little while.

If you would like to know more about Razor scooter spares or Razor scooter wheels or if you would like to buy a discounted scooter, visit our web site at http://razorascooter.com
